OUR MISSION
AWOW GHANA is dedicated to the legacy and in honor of the late Bridget Kyerematen-Darko (BKD)
To educate, empower, inspire, and equip girls and women around the globe to know their true purpose and value so they can live happy and prosperous lives. We seek to achieve our mission by delivering exceptional programming that promotes physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
The Ghana Women’s Empowerment Framework operates through three developmental tiers — each addressing the unique needs, mindsets, and opportunities of Ghanaian females at different life stages.
TIER I: EMPOWER GIRLS (Ages 10–17)
Theme: “Awaken Her Voice. Shape Her Future.”
Core Programs:

HerFuture Fellowship – Mentorship and career development for university and early-career women. Professional mentorship, internships, and leadership bootcamps connecting young women with role models.

SheCan Code Ghana – Digital literacy and tech entrepreneurship. Coding, web design, and digital marketing courses preparing women for 21st-century careers.

Girls of Grace & Power – Personal growth, faith, and life purpose. A mentorship and empowerment circle cultivating confidence, character, and divine alignment.

SheBuilds Ghana – Entrepreneurship and cooperative empowerment. Vocational training, micro-grants, and mentorship for women creating sustainable businesses.
Signature Event:
“SheRises Ghana Conference” — A 2-day national gathering featuring mentorship, business showcases, and spiritual empowerment.
TIER II: EMPOWER YOUNG WOMEN (Ages 18–30)
Theme: “From Potential to Purpose.”
Core Programs:

RiseHER Initiative – Leadership and confidence-building for adolescent girls. Workshops in schools, debates, and storytelling circles teach girls to lead, speak up, and dream boldly.

STEM Queens Ghana – Girls in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math. Coding clubs, robotics labs, and science fairs build curiosity, problem-solving, and innovation.

Dignity Project Ghana – Menstrual health, hygiene, and self-worth. Reusable sanitary kit distributions, menstrual education, and peer ambassador training to end stigma and absenteeism.

The Crown Initiative – Scholarships and mentorship for orphans and vulnerable girls. Education access, mentorship, and psychosocial support to prevent dropouts.​
Signature Event:
“Women of Grace & Power Global Summit” — A national annual summit uniting women leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to collaborate, network, and design Ghana’s future.
TIER III: EMPOWER WOMEN (Ages 30+)
Theme: “Heal. Lead. Transform.”
Core Programs:

• The MotherTree Initiative – Mental wellness, healing, and emotional resilience. Group circles, guided meditation, trauma recovery, and holistic self-care for women leaders and mothers.
• Divine Daughters Ghana – Spiritual empowerment and life transformation.
Faith-based retreats and mentorship for women seeking alignment, balance, and divine purpose.
• SheBuilds Ghana (Advanced Track) – Scaling women-led businesses and cooperatives. Financial literacy, business coaching, and access to funding and partnerships.
Signature Event:

Cross-Cutting Components (All Tiers)
